Who am I
I am Tijmen S. Bos and earned his Ph.D. in 2023 from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Currently, I am postdoctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in the automated development of methods for chromatographic systems and advanced data analysis. My research is particularly centered on polymer analysis, striving to enhance separation capabilities and develop novel algorithms to extract maximum insights from analytical data. He has a position as a guest researcher in the research group of Professor Dwight Stoll at Gustavus Adolphus College.
Project Portfolio
Polymer Characterization
Polymers are the backbone of modern materials, from pharmaceuticals to plastics, but their molecular complexity makes them difficult to analyze and design efficiently. At the University of Amsterdam, our research developed computationally driven workflows that combine advanced separation science with machine learning to unravel critical structural features, such as sequence distributions, that directly influence material properties.
By introducing automation and artificial intelligence into analytical chemistry, we reduce the time and expertise required for method development while providing unprecedented molecular-level insights. These innovations enable the design of polymers that are more recyclable, durable, and high-performing, supporting the transition toward a circular economy and sustainable industrial practices.
IDEAS helps to bridge the gap between fundamental science and real-world application, delivering tools that not only advance academic research but also accelerate industrial innovation.
Automated Reporting and Lab Intergration
Efficiency and precision are at the core of modern analytical science. IDEAS can help with automated reporting and lab integration solutions to streamline data handling, reduce manual effort, and ensure consistency across every stage of your workflow.
With automated reporting, results are processed, structured, and visualized in real time, eliminating repetitive manual formatting and reducing the risk of human error. Customizable templates ensure that reports meet your exact needs, whether for internal R&D, regulatory compliance, or client communication, while saving valuable time for your scientists.
Seamless laboratory integration connects instruments, chromatography systems, and data platforms into a unified environment. This enables smooth data transfer, improved traceability, and greater reproducibility across experiments. By bridging analytical techniques with advanced informatics, we create workflows that empower teams to focus on interpretation and innovation rather than routine administration.
The result: faster insights, greater accuracy, and laboratories that are smarter, more connected, and ready for the future of analytical science.
